Ethan Knight: a young English student whose life has always been far too normal, yet destined for a path that is anything but ordinary.
This is the protagonist of a story that will cast him into an alternate world called Tersain: a globe of air devoid of solid land, where thousands of islands float, inhabited by civilisations that have evolved to survive in such a unique environment.
Thrown into such an alien place, Ethan becomes involved in the military affairs of a state shaken by the civil war, ending up a prisoner of a group of rebels and, later, becoming an ally of theirs. What will become of him? And what is the nature of Tersain, which seems to have many points in common with Earth despite being very different from it? But above all… how did he get to such a world?
A story straddling genres, where mysticism and the supernatural intertwine with the themes of science fiction, and where action, battles, mysteries, and emotions reign supreme. This is how the search for Energheia begins: what will the return of the Gift lead to?

The Energheia web novel is the heart of this universe. Here, Ethan’s story comes to life, taking you on a journey through worlds, discoveries, and battles.
The story continues, chapter by chapter, among the floating islands of Tersain, Ethan’s challenges and the mysteries surrounding him. All published chapters are available for free on this site, offering you a unique experience of action, adventure and emotions.
The other forms of Energheia
The story of Energheia doesn’t stop at the web novel: it has also inspired two visual adaptations, the manga and the webtoon. Both offer a new perspective on Ethan’s story, enriched by the stunning illustrations of Elena Toma (Tonkipappero). Discover the world of Tersain through detailed artwork and breathtaking scenes.
The Webtoon
Did you know that some introductory episodes of a webtoon adaptation of Energheia, illustrated by artist Elena Toma, are available on WEBTOON CANVAS? It’s a great opportunity to see how Ethan’s story has already made its way into this format and to experience a preview of the world of Tersain!
The Manga
The Energheia manga, illustrated by Elena Toma and published by Kasaobake (later acquired by Shockdom), brought to life four volumes that narrate Ethan’s adventure in a visually spectacular style. Although the story did not continue beyond these volumes, the manga remains a unique adaptation that captures the essence of Energheia through atmospheric and immersive illustrations.
